How to find and catch Solenne in Palworld

Solenne is one of the new Pals introduced with the full 1.0 release of Palworld. This distinctive black-and-white Pal is found in the World Tree region and combines Dark and Neutral elements with exceptional base-working abilities.

It is particularly valuable for two reasons. Solenne possesses Level 8 Handiwork, making it one of the fastest crafting Pals available, while its Untainted Maiden Partner Skill can provide a substantial boost to the player’s Attack.

Finding one requires access to some of Palworld’s toughest late-game territory, however. Here is where Solenne appears, how to catch or breed one, and whether it deserves a place in your party or base.

Where to find Solenne in Palworld

solenne

Solenne appears naturally inside the World Tree area added with Palworld Version 1.0.

The World Tree is a late-game region tied closely to the game’s expanded story, so it is not somewhere that new players can visit immediately. You will need to progress through the main missions and gain access to the World Tree before you can search for Solenne in the wild.

Solenne can spawn during both the day and night, so there is no need to wait for a particular time before beginning your search. Explore the accessible parts of the World Tree region and watch for its striking monochrome appearance, which makes it relatively easy to distinguish from the surrounding Pals.

As the World Tree is an endgame area, you should expect the local Pals to be considerably more dangerous than those found around the original starting islands. Bring your strongest equipment, plenty of ammunition and a healthy supply of high-tier Pal Spheres.

How to catch Solenne

Solenne is a Dark and Neutral-type Pal. Its Dark typing makes Dragon attacks the most effective option when reducing its health.

Powerful Dragon Pals such as Jetragon, Jormuntide, Astegon and Shaolong can therefore make the encounter much easier. Be careful when using particularly strong attacks, though, as an overpowered late-game Pal may defeat Solenne before you have an opportunity to capture it.

A reliable method is to use Dragon attacks during the opening portion of the battle, recall your Pal once Solenne’s health is low and then finish weakening it with a lower-damage weapon. Applying a status effect can further improve your chances before throwing your best available Pal Sphere.

Make sure you clear or avoid other nearby Pals before beginning the encounter. Fighting Solenne while several high-level World Tree creatures are also attacking can quickly become unmanageable.

Can Solenne hatch from an egg?

Solenne can potentially hatch from a Large Dark Egg.

Searching for eggs is less reliable than finding Solenne directly because the Pal produced is selected from a wider pool. It nevertheless provides another opportunity to obtain one while exploring the World Tree and other high-level locations.

Place any Large Dark Eggs you find inside an Egg Incubator and wait for the incubation process to finish. World settings affecting egg incubation time will determine how long the process takes.

Breeding is the better option when you specifically want Solenne rather than simply hoping to hatch one.

How to breed Solenne in Palworld

Several Pal combinations can produce a Solenne egg at the Breeding Farm.

Place one male and one female parent inside the Breeding Farm, add Cake to its storage box and allow the pair to produce an egg. The resulting egg can then be moved into an Egg Incubator.

The known Solenne breeding combinations are:

Parent oneParent twoResult
SolenneSolenneSolenne
AstegonJetragonSolenne
AnubisJetragonSolenne
FalerisDandilordSolenne
RenjishiCelesdir NoctSolenne
DupinShaolongSolenne

Astegon and Jetragon is likely to be the most convenient combination for players returning with an established save, as both Pals were available before Version 1.0. Anubis and Jetragon is another practical option for players with a well-developed collection.

Once you have caught or hatched one Solenne, breeding it with another Solenne is the most direct way to produce additional copies.

Breeding is also useful when attempting to create a Solenne with better passive skills. Suitable combat passives can strengthen its attacks, while work-speed bonuses can make its already excellent Handiwork performance even faster.

Solenne stats and work suitability

Solenne is Paldeck entry number 182 and has the following base stats:

HP110
Attack115
Defence115
Work suitabilityLevelPrimary use
Handiwork8Crafting equipment, ammunition and manufactured materials
Gathering4Harvesting completed crops from plantations
Transporting2Moving resources and completed items into storage

Level 8 Handiwork places Solenne among the best crafting Pals in Palworld. It can complete lengthy production jobs, equipment recipes and assembly tasks substantially faster than most early and mid-game workers.

Gathering Level 4 allows it to harvest crops effectively, while Transporting Level 2 lets it move completed items and materials around the base. However, transporting can also distract Solenne from more valuable crafting work.

Using the Monitoring Stand to prioritise Handiwork can help keep it focused on production benches and assembly lines.

How Solenne’s Untainted Maiden Partner Skill works

Solenne’s Partner Skill is called Untainted Maiden.

While Solenne is in your active party, Untainted Maiden increases the player’s Attack by 30%, provided every Pal in the party is a different species. The bonus does not stack, meaning carrying several Solenne will not provide multiple Attack increases.

To activate the skill, build a party without any duplicate species. For example, a team containing Solenne, Jetragon, Anubis, Frostallion and Lyleen would meet the diversity requirement.

A team containing Solenne and two Jetragons would not.

The increase applies to the player’s Attack rather than simply improving Solenne’s damage. This makes Untainted Maiden particularly useful for firearm-focused builds and players who prefer dealing most of the damage themselves.

Unlike mount-related Partner Skills, Solenne does not require a saddle or another piece of Pal Gear. Solenne cannot be ridden.

Solenne’s active skills

Solenne primarily learns Dark attacks, supplemented by several powerful Neutral moves.

Its available skills include:

  • Dark Shot
  • Dark Cannon
  • Air Blade
  • Nightmare Ball
  • Dark Laser
  • Black Quilled Ballet
  • Dark Whisp
  • Holy Burst

Black Quilled Ballet is Solenne’s exclusive Dark attack. It leaps diagonally before throwing a collection of sharp black feathers towards its enemies.

Holy Burst provides powerful Neutral coverage at Level 70, creating a large explosion around its target. Solenne’s mixture of Dark and Neutral attacks gives it more flexibility than a Pal relying on a single element.

What does Solenne drop?

Capturing or defeating a regular Solenne can provide:

ItemAmountDrop rate
Dark Fragment2–3100%
High Quality Recovery Meds250%

Higher-level Solenne encounters can also provide valuable World Tree materials, including World Tree Holy Water, Neutral Radiant Gems and several grades of Ancient Relic.

Solenne is far more valuable as a captured Pal than as a source of materials, though. Dark Fragments and recovery medicine can be obtained elsewhere, whereas Level 8 Handiwork and the Untainted Maiden bonus can provide lasting benefits.

Is Solenne worth using?

Solenne is worth catching for both base management and combat.

At a base, its Level 8 Handiwork makes it an exceptional choice for crafting equipment and operating production facilities. Its secondary Gathering suitability also allows it to help with plantations when no crafting jobs are available.

In a party, Untainted Maiden’s 30% player Attack bonus is substantial enough to shape an entire build. Its only meaningful restriction is that every Pal must be a different species, preventing duplicate-stacking strategies.

Solenne is therefore particularly well suited to players who use firearms heavily and already prefer a varied party. Even players who do not intend to use it in combat should consider breeding a work-focused Solenne for their main production base.
