Since Palworld rolled into 1.0, many fans are finding subtle changes. More specifically, those on late-game saves and progressing to the new level cap are finding more things to craft. Some of these things require Hardwood, a new type of material in Palworld’s full version.
Here’s how to get Hardwood in Palword for the new and updated crafting recipes in the game.
Where to find Hardwood in Palworld
To get Hardwood in Palworld, you need to visit the formerly high level zones. The best areas to farm it (according to those playing on progressed saves) are:
- Sakurajima
- Feybreak
These areas are your formerly late level 40-60 zones. Cut down the higher-tier trees in these areas. The cherry blossom-looking trees are a good example. You should get Hardwood from those.
As for recipes, the Palworld community database has you covered on its uses. It features in a range of level 40 and above recipes. It extends into the higher expanded level bracket, too. One key use is crafting new Spheres to capture higher-level Pals. With over 70 Pals now in the game, both old and new variants, you’ll want those in your inventory.
Older recipes have also been adjusted with new materials. Double-barreled shotguns previously used refined ingots and polymers. They now require Hardwood too. The same goes for metal bats, rifles and grenades. Players will need to collect a few more resources than they were used to in Early Access.
You can check out the Palworld DB as they are already updating most of the changes from Early Access to 1.0 rather well.
There’s also a new Logging Camp 2 upgrade requiring 100 Hardwood. You can build it in your base. You’ll need skilled logging Pals to make proper use of it, though.
There’s plenty of new base-building parts, endgame crafting and more. Expect to need several new items and materials along your journey. Especially now that Palworld has fully released from early access into 1.0, and the devs have posted a rather long patch notes to talk about the new additions, both fresh and other undocumented changes.
