Nintendo is rolling out another set of playtests for the new online service on the Nintendo Switch 2.
A new feature will be playtested by the company in the coming days with some exclusive users given an opportunity to try a new secret title before its launch.
What is Nintendo playtesting?
Exactly what Nintendo plans on playtesting is remaining a secret for now but they have told those considering the test that the new title has already been tested by some gamers.
Part of the application reads: “This is a test of the same service for which we performed a test in October of 2024.”
With the Nintendo Switch 2 initially launching in June this year, fans have been quick to guess that the testing is for a new game that has already been teased.
There aren’t many clues out there to go off from players who took part in the initial batch of testing so the new service really could be anything.
When is the Nintendo playtesting and how do users apply?
The new Nintendo playtesting event is set to take place on the 21st of July.
We will perform another test in the #NintendoSwitchOnline: Playtest Program. From 8:00 AM PT on July 21st, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can apply to participate on a first-come, first-served basis.
