Blade Runner x Lumibricks collab might just restore our faith in little plastic construction toys

In a world where a LEGO Death Star costs almost $1,000 there is a plucky competitor that does things a little differently.

Now if you know me you will know I am obsessed with Blade Runner and have been since I was a kid so when LEGO competitor Lumibricks announced their forthcoming Blade Runner sets, I was always going to put it on here and try to loosely link it to gaming at some point in this article.

We cover card games, and tabletop games, so this isn’t a world away and it is super cool so let’s have it.

If you aren’t aware of Lumibricks, they are little plastic brick kits as you would expect, but they come with lighting fixtures and are, importantly, not the same price as a second hand car. Lumi already have a great range of Cyberpunk-themed sets that you can build your own Neon City from Cyberpunk 2077 (there, told you I’d manage it, you can’t teach this stuff).

A licensed Blade Runner kit though, now that is something else. At the moment you can see some images and sign up for more information when it is released, but we are being promised the chance to build some scenes from Blade Runner 2049, the first of which seems to be K’s police spinner. Now I am a little disappointed it’s not OG Blade Runner, but we will take what we can. 2049 was still a great movie.

As you can see from the image above, the spinner looks ace, and the fact it looks like it is going to have interior lighting as well makes it all the sweeter.

The full Spinner page can be found here and the kit will be revealed later this month apparently. No clue on price yet, but if you check the catalog and buy some while you are waiting, you will see they are reasonably priced compared to that other lot in Denmark.

What are Lumibricks?

Lumibricks is a LEGO competitor from China whose key differentiator is the inclusion of lighting kits. The company used to be called Funwhole, but that was wisely rebranded to Lumibricks in 2025. Otherwise there would be a lot more innuendo on this page, trust me.
