Assassin’s Creed Odyssey fan quest ‘La Caída de Cidonia’ surfaces on Ubisoft’s platform

A fan-made quest titled “La Caída de Cidonia” (“The Fall of Cidonia”) went up on Ubisoft’s Story Creator Mode platform for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on 25 October 2026, eight years after the game itself launched, and it is a sign of how long the 2018 release’s creation tools have stayed alive.

The quest’s page on assassinscreed.ubisoft.com lists it as published and updated on 25 October 2026. Its Spanish-language description sets a Spartan story: “Las fuerzas espartanas están preparadas para el asedio de Cidonia después de la muerte del Capitán Diokles, ha llegado la hora del cambio…” The Spartan forces are ready to besiege Cidonia after the death of Captain Diokles, and the hour of change has come.

Story Creator Mode is Ubisoft’s own toolset for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: a browser-based editor that lets players build and publish branching narrative quests inside the game’s Ancient Greece world. Because those quests are hosted on Ubisoft’s official domain, they can read as first-party content in automated news feeds. This one is not an Ubisoft announcement. It is a user creation, and the page’s “release date” field, which shows October 5, 2018, belongs to the base game, not the quest.

What the toolset still says about Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, developed by the Ubisoft studios in Quebec, Montreal, Bucharest, Singapore, Montpellier, Kiev and Shanghai and published by Ubisoft, is still sold on Steam at US$59.99 as an action, adventure and RPG set in Ancient Greece. A player building a quest in that world in late 2026 is doing so inside a game nearly a decade old, using tools that are still online.

The new quest has showed zero plays and a 0% completion rate when its page was checked. The creator has not been identified.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 5 October 2018. Its Story Creator Mode platform was still taking new quests as of 25 October 2026.
