Take-Two’s long-awaited earnings call has fans thinking GTA 6 Trailer 3 is almost certainly coming soon

Take-Two Interactive, as it often does, issued a press release announcing when it plans to run its quarterly earnings report. And while it’s fairly standard practice, it is slightly deviating from the usual 5-week gap between the end of the quarter and the earnings presentation. And considering GTA 6 fans are chomping at the bit, it’s leading to some speculation that something might be on the way.

That something, of course, is GTA 6 Trailer 3. Insider speculation has already reported that a trailer was on the table for early May. And considering that Take-Two has delayed the earnings report from its usual 5-week window to around 6-7 weeks, that buys an extra week for something the marketing team might want to deploy. See the press release details for yourself.

Are there more hints to the GTA 6 Trailer 3 dropping in May?

Given the timing, Trailer 3 could indeed land in that window. Fans get to see more of the game, then the trailer turbo pumps Take-Two stocks in sheer anticipation of GTA 6 getting another reveal. From a business perspective, it makes sense. It can create maximum hype right before it reports to investors.

Alternatively, this could be complete speculation, with GTA 6 anticipation for console gamers at an all-time high. That subreddit is microanalyzing lamppost illumination models and counting trees in stills for goodness sake. Hell, there’s even discussion of how the roads look and feel after Forza Horizon 6 maps and road textures became a talking point.

The community is reading tea leaves at this point, and a one-week delay in an earnings call is hardly concrete evidence of anything.

Even if nothing comes out of this minor delay, there will be plenty of GTA 6 discussion on the earnings call. GTA 5 has been benefiting quite a lot from the GTA 6 hype, with recent leaks actually pumping Take-Two stocks thanks to them revealing just how much money GTA 5 Online is still making, especially in the last year or so.

There are also teasers of some GTA 6 features, such as the mansions update with pet cats and dogs, weightlifting mechanics added, and other quality-of-life improvements that feel like testing grounds for the next game.

I remember listening into a call late last year, and many were keen to ask about GTA 6 then, despite no new updates. So with it being the second-to-last quarter before the game drops in November on consoles, we should really start hearing something substantial about it. If not now, then definitely in the summer with all the big game reveals at Summer Game Fest and other showcases coming up.

We’re also expecting somthing big from GTA 6’s Creator economy too.
