The Beast of Reincarnation pre-order bonus turns Koo that bit cuddlier

Beast of Reincarnation looks to be pairing souls-like gameplay with a cuddly-looking yet viscous companion to create something that is very much nothing like Game Freak has done before.

If you’re liking what you’re hearing from Game Freak’s new foray into something that’s a little less about catching creatures and more about hacking and slashing, you might want to secure a pre-order ahead of launch.

Thankfully, there are bonuses on offer for doing so, but the wording gets weird for which edition comes with what bonus.

What is the Beast of Reincarnation pre-order bonus?

The Beast of Reincarnation pre-order bonuses for purchasing the Standard Edition are the Brown Shiba Skin and 30,000 Amber.

As you’d expect, the Brown Shiba Skin changes up your companion Koo’s look from its usual white color to a more lighter brown. The Amber is actually in-game currency, so you’ll be able to get a leg up in the early game, potentially allowing you to afford things that might simply be out of reach otherwise.

Now, if you’re thinking of dropping extra cash on the game, the Deluxe Edition listing almost implies that you will also net additional pre-purchase rewards.

However, this isn’t the case, and in fact, the stuff shown is actually the Deluxe Edition contents alongside the aforementioned pre-order bonus. It’s all very confusing.

The Deluxe Edition is obviously the stronger option when it comes to getting an extra leg up in-game, particularly thanks to the increased amount of Amber.

While not explicitly stated, it is worth keeping in mind that the cosmetics are likely just skins, not designed to provide a small early-game boost. The Amber is a different kettle of fish, but we’re sure you’ll be able to farm that anyway, so you’ll have to weigh up whether all of this is worth the extra cost.

Whichever edition you choose, at least you’ll get something for putting your faith into Game Freak’s new venture by pre-ordering.
