Lush has teamed up with Microsoft for a rather unique collection of Minecraft-themed bath bombs and cosmetics, and in-game bath bomb DLC. From 19 September, you’ll be able to wander into your local Lush store and pick up 12 new products, all inspired by the iconic creatures and tools of Minecraft.
As revealed, there’s a TNT Block Bath Bomb, a Grass Block Bath Bomb, a Lava Block Bath Bomb, an Intergalactic Block Bath Bomb, a Creeper Shower Bomb, a Skeleton Shower Bomb, and an Enderman Shower Bomb (all priced at AUD $7.50), a Diamond Pickaxe Reusable Bubble Bar (AUD $18), a Diamond Ore Bath Bomb (AUD $11), an Axolotl Bath Bomb with a hidden surprise inside (AUD $24), an Ender Dragon Egg Giant Bath Bomb (AUD $32), and a Bucket of Milk Shower Jelly (AUD $16).
Each well-replicates the vibe of Minecraft, with blocky shapes and edges reflecting the voxel style of the game. The Diamond Ore Bath Bomb is particularly fun, with little blue ore veins lining its design, and the Axolotl’s bright pink egg shape is equally neat.
While it’s a wild crossover, Lush has taken the brief very seriously – and I can certainly picture Minecraft fans (younger and older) who’ll be delighted by these creations.
For those who want to bring Lush into Minecraft, there’s also another neat crossover on the way. Players will soon be able to download the free Lush Bath Bombs add-on for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, with this DLC providing the ability to craft special bath bombs – Intergalactic, Big Blue, Twilight and Lakes. These in-game bath bombs will create “stunning visual effects around players” and have a calming effect on nearby enemies, while also providing a boost to players.

“LUSH shares in our mission to build a better world, through ethically sourced ingredients and creative hand-crafted products,” Hanna Willis, Director of US Consumer Products, Minecraft said of the collaboration. “We hope fans enjoy crafting a moment of calm, whether it’s in the real world with the new LUSH collection or within the Minecraft game via the Bath Bombs add-on.”
Melody Morton, Lush Concepts Creative Director also expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, recalling her long-term love for Minecraft in a press release.
“I love that Lush now gets to bring crafting and world building to bath time and create an IRL experience for families and grown-ups,” Morton said. “I love how the blocks we’ve created look like they do in the game and we had so much fun pairing our cult fragrances with each material.”
The Lush x Minecraft collection will be available in all Lush stores from 19 September 2024.
