Popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen is getting its first major console game adaptation, courtesy of Bandai Namco. During the recent Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2023, the company announced it would be releasing Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S,
A firm release date was not revealed during the game announcement, but brief footage showed off 2v2 fights between a number of main characters. The game will reportedly feature around 15 fighters including main characters Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo, each utilising skills inspired by the anime (and manga) franchise.
Per Bandai Namco, the game will largely follow the main story events of Jujutsu Kaisen. In this supernatural adventure series, protagonist Yuji Itadori stumbles onto the supernatural world after swallowing the fingers of a cursed being, thus being possessed and gaining strange abilities. The series follows his efforts to control this power, and to restore order in a world plagued by spirits.
