CoinPoker opens Battle of Malta Online qualification with free CoinMillion satellites

CoinPoker will open satellite qualification for the Battle of Malta Online Series on July 3, giving players several routes into the $215 CoinMillion event.

The qualification campaign runs until July 12, ahead of the wider Battle of Malta Online Series, which is scheduled to run from July 12 through August 3 with $30 million in guaranteed prize pools.

CoinPoker has said that at least 1,024 seats will be awarded to the $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion through satellites. Players can enter free Step 4 satellites, move through paid step events, or take part in direct Step 1 satellites for the chance at seats.

The free Step 4 satellites are scheduled to run three times per day from July 3 to July 12. These events award seats into Step 3 satellites, which start from $0.10 and run daily during the same qualification window.

Step 2 satellites will then feed into Step 1 events, where players compete for $215 CoinMillion tickets. Direct Step 1 satellites will run seven times per day starting July 3, increasing to nine times per day on July 12. On July 12, a satellite has a $25 buy-in and will award 100 CoinMillion seats, per the release.

The CoinMillion begins its first day on July 12, with Day 2 scheduled for July 13. The tournament has a $1 million guarantee, a 100,000-chip starting stack, Bubble Protection, Final Table Blind Rollback, deal making, and unlimited re-entries through Level 16.

The previous $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion, held during World Poker Masters, attracted 4,278 entries. DaniC1994 won that event for $126,500.

The CoinMillion winner during Battle of Malta Online will also receive a physical Battle of Malta trophy and a digital Trophy Cabinet award.

Other Battle of Malta Online events include the $565 Battle of Malta Main Event with a $2.5 million guarantee, the $55 Main Challenger, and the $11 Main Crusader. The three Main Events carry combined guarantees of $3.1 million.

The series will also include 100 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition packages valued at $2,500 each, 77 physical trophy events, high roller tournaments, and a $10 million final weekend.
