WWE 2K24 will officially include the late Bray Wyatt as The Fiend on its roster of playable superstars. The news was revealed by 2K on Twitter / X with a full glimpse at The Fiend’s entrance in the game, including his creepy severed head lantern, and his classic entrance music.

Notably, The Fiend was not playable in WWE 2K23, although a version of Bray Wyatt was included as downloadable content. While his inclusion was appreciated, The Fiend – considered a seperate entity from Wyatt himself – remains his most popular guise.

His inclusion in WWE 2K24 will likely come as a relief to those who previously relied on player-created custom versions of The Fiend without the quality and accoutrements that come with an official 2K release. You can see the new model for The Fiend in action below:

Beyond being a coveted return for one of WWE’s most popular characters, The Fiend’s inclusion in WWE 2K24 also speaks to the strong creative legacy Bray Wyatt left behind when he passed in late 2023.

WWE 2K rosters typically reflect the modern lineup of WWE superstars, alongside a handful of popular legends – and it’s great to see Wyatt included in this group. Over his career, he continuously revealed new facets of his wrestling persona, playing with cinematic matches and psychology, pushing the bounds of what wrestling could be – and how wild it could become.

Over on Twitter / X, keen players have celebrated The Fiend’s confirmed inclusion in WWE 2K24, thanking 2K for his appearance and sharing their favourite moments in Bray Wyatt’s career. In WWE 2K24, his legacy and impact will live on.

WWE 2K24 is set to release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on 8 March 2024.
