Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced pre-orders come with a fiery Blackbeard-inspired bonus

Black Flag is one of the best entries into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, so it’s no surprise that it is the first to receive the fully-fledged remake treatment. This allows everyone to experience sailing the high seas in all its ray-traced glory, maybe singing a few sea shanties in the process.

Despite Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced essentially being a re-release of the classic, there is a pre-order bonus up for grabs, and it differs to that of what you got for pre-purchasing the original game.

What is the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced pre-order bonus?

If you’ve been excited to dive into Black Flag almost 13 years after its initial launch, or are experiencing its Caribbean vibes for the first time, nabbing a copy early will secure you a couple of nice little extras.

For pre-ordering, you’ll receive Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack, containing three bits of gear you can throw straight onto Edward Kenway.

There’s the Crimson Sword, Crimson Pistol, and Crimson Costume, naturally all red in color, certainly setting you apart from your pirate comrades. The Costume is particularly quirky since it has what appears to be lit fuses hanging down from the hat, I guess showing off to everyone that you mean business.

Interestingly, these aren’t just ‘cosmetic’ either, contrary to that of what other games usually do with their pre-order bonuses. Instead, it’s stated that the pack “Grants Unique Perks.”

As for what these are remains to be seen at this point, but based on the original Black Flag, wearing the Crimson Costume, for example, could mean you tank more damage, decrease enemy detection, or even deflect bullets.

Whatever the perks end up being, let’s hope they’re not a huge advantage, otherwise those who don’t pre-order are going to be extremely jealous of others who secured a copy ahead of time.

If you’re playing on PC, just ensure your rig is up to scratch by checking the system requirements. The game has had a huge visual overhaul, so no point pre-ordering until you have all the necessary components to actually run it.
