Xbox Game Pass: New arrivals and departures in April 2025

Here's all the latest games arriving to and departing from Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass is expanding once again in April 2025, with a solid array of new games for the month. That includes day one launches for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Australian-made game, Tempopo. It also includes the arrival of fantastic New Zealand-made Dredge, for those looking for a spot of spooky eldritch fishing.

As in most months, there are some departures on the way, but that’s how it goes on Xbox Game Pass. Games arrive, enjoy their time in the sun, and then depart with a brief wave.

Xbox Game Pass: New Games for April 2025

Here’s all the games launching on Xbox Games Pass in April 2025:

  • Neon White (Console) – Launches 16 April (Standard): “You are White, an assassin handpicked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven. The other assassins seem familiar, though… did you know them in a past life?”
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game (Console, PC, Cloud) – Launches 16 April (Ultimate, PC, Standard): “Patrick fans, your time has come – and Bikini Bottom is your open-world playground! So become the star of the show, put your silliest ideas into action, and enjoy the physics-based chaos that unfolds all around you.”
  • Crime Scene Cleaner (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Launches 17 April (Ultimate, PC) – “Once you get tangled with the mob, there’s no going back. At least the salary is good and all you have to do is clean up after their dirty work.”
  • Tempopo (Console, PC, Cloud) – Launches 17 April (Ultimate, PC): “When Hana’s Garden of musical flowers are scattered across the sky, she asks the Tempopo for help returning them. Chaotic and uncoordinated by nature, the Tempopo needs Hana’s conducting skills to keep on beat and solve each island’s puzzle.”
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Launches 24 April (Ultimate, PC): “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a ground-breaking turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics, making battles more immersive and addictive than ever.”
  • Towerborne (Game Preview) (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Launches 29 April (Ultimate, PC): “You are an Ace, born anew from the spirit realm with the skills, grit, and determination to protect the people of the Belfry. With spirit companions fighting by your side, you are destined for battle.”
  • Far Cry 4 (Console, PC, Cloud) – Launches 30 April (Ultimate, PC, Standard): “As Ajay Ghale, travel to Kyrat to fulfill a promise, and dive into in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.”
  • Anno 1800 (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Launches 1 May (Ultimate, PC, Standard): “Experience one of the most exciting and fast-changing periods of all time as you discover new technologies, regions, and societies, implement your own strategy, and build a new world to your design.”
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Console, PC, Cloud) – Launches 1 May (Ultimate, PC): “Experience a globe-trotting single-player campaign, immersive multiplayer combat, and an evolved Special Ops game mode featuring tactical co-op gameplay.”
  • Dredge (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – Launches 6 May (Ultimate, PC, Standard): “Dredge is a single-player fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your boat, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten.”

Xbox Game Pass: Game Departures for April 2025

The following titles will leave Xbox Game Pass on 30 April:

  • The Last Case of Benedict Fox
  • Thirsty Suitors
  • The Rewinder
