Borussia Dortmund is showing off its new 2026/27 Puma kits inside FIFA Super Soccer on Roblox, marking the first time the club’s latest matchday look has appeared in any video game. Ever. Anywhere. Which was new news to me I will be honest.
The limited-time event, created in partnership with Gamefam, launches today and gives you early access to Dortmund’s new home and club attire before the kits are worn for real, and er, not just by pixels. The club is set to debut the new strip this evening against Eintracht Frankfurt in its final home game of the season.
It is the latest example of major football clubs treating Roblox as more than just a novelty platform. Borussia Dortmund is using the activation to build its presence with younger fans, with FIFA Super Soccer already established as one of the platform’s bigger sports games.
The event reintroduces Borussia Dortmund as a playable team in FIFA Super Soccer, following its previous appearance during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Players will be able to wear the new 2026/27 Puma kits in-game, take on Dortmund-themed quests, and interact with the club’s mascot, Emma the Bee.
You have to love people who knock up press releases. This is one of my favorite lines ever: “Those quests include familiar football challenges such as scoring goals, creating assists, and winning matches.”. So, football then?
Completing them will unlock a new in-game lightning strike celebration, which turns goals into a black-and-yellow visual spectacle. Subtle? No. Very Dortmund? Absolutely.
“At Borussia Dortmund, we are always looking to authentically show up in spaces where the next generation of fans are already deeply engaged,” said Alexander Mühl, Borussia Dortmund’s Director Marketing & Digitalisation.
“Roblox, and FIFA Super Soccer in particular, is one of the most relevant platforms for reaching young soccer fans today. Launching our new 2026/27 Puma kits in this environment and ultimately having a persistent presence – as we look ahead to a major year for the club – will allow us to extend the Borussia Dortmund experience far beyond the pitch.”
Gamefam CEO Ricardo Briceno added that the next generation of fans “doesn’t just watch the beautiful game – they play, create and connect with it in immersive worlds.”
The Borussia Dortmund FIFA Super Soccer event runs from 8 May to 15 May 2026. While the event itself is temporary, the official Dortmund kits will remain available in-game until the end of the year.
