If you want to add another free car to your garage, the GTA Online Prize Ride is one of the easiest ways to do it.
Unlike the Podium Vehicle, which relies largely on luck at the Diamond Casino Lucky Wheel, the Prize Ride rewards you for completing a weekly racing challenge at the LS Car Meet. The only catch is that the vehicle and its challenge change with every weekly update.
Here’s the GTA Online Prize Ride this week, what you need to do to unlock it, how the system works, and if it’s worth the grind.
Editor’s Note: This page was updated on August 26th after the latest GTA Online weekly update.
What is the Prize Ride this week?
The Dinka Veto Classic is the GTA Online Prize Ride this week. This compact go-kart normally costs GTA$895,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
To unlock it, you need to complete the following Prize Ride Challenge: Place Top 5 in the LS Car Meet Series for 4 days in a row.
Just remember that you’ll need to complete the challenge and claim the vehicle before the GTA Online weekly update changes on September 3rd, 2026, at approximately 5 AM ET / 10 AM BST / 9 AM UTC.

Is this week’s Prize Ride worth it?
Yes, but mostly as a novelty vehicle. The Dinka Veto Classic normally costs GTA$895,000, and placing inside the Top 5 shouldn’t be particularly difficult, although you will need to record a qualifying result on four consecutive days.
The car has a tested top speed of roughly 79 mph (127.1 km/h), meaning it’s not fast or especially useful for getting around Los Santos — I mean, it’s a go-kart, after all. However, its low driving position and responsive handling make it great fun to race with friends.
It’s definitely not a “must-have vehicle,” but it’s still worth claiming if you can complete the four-day requirement. After all, saving GTA$895,000 on one of GTA Online’s most unusual vehicles is a pretty good return for finishing a few races!
How to complete the GTA Online Prize Ride Challenge this week
This week’s Prize Ride Challenge requires you to finish inside the Top 5 in the LS Car Meet Series for 4 days in a row.
To complete it, I suggest choosing a race with a smaller lobby to make the requirement easier. You don’t need to actually win the race – you only need to finish inside the required position.
Prize Ride challenges don’t require you to wait 24 hours between qualifying results. The daily counter for Prize Ride objectives resets globally at 00:00 UTC. This means races completed just before and after midnight UTC can count as two separate days.
To check your current progress, access the Interaction Menu inside the LS Car Meet. Next, go to the Prize Ride Challenge section to see the current requirement and how far you’ve progressed.

What is the Prize Ride in GTA Online?
The Prize Ride is a free vehicle that you can claim after completing a rotating challenge at the LS Car Meet.
Rockstar Games introduced the feature alongside the Los Santos Tuners update in July 2021. The update added the LS Car Meet as a “social hub” where you can show off your vehicles, use the Test Track, increase your Car Meet Reputation, and take part in new racing activities.
Rockstar also introduced rotating Prize Ride Challenges for LS Car Meet members, giving you another way to obtain vehicles without buying them outright. You’ll find the current Prize Ride displayed inside the LS Car Meet, right on the back of a Slamtruck.
The vehicle changes weekly along with the challenge required to unlock it. Some weeks may simply require you to finish a race in a certain position, while others may require qualifying results over several consecutive days.
How to unlock the GTA Online Prize Ride
Before you can start grinding towards the Prize Ride, you’ll need to have unlocked the LS Car Meet in Cypress Flats.
After visiting the Car Meet, speak to Mimi and purchase an LS Car Meet Membership for GTA$50,000. This is a one-time membership fee, not something you need to repay every week. Once you’re a member, open the Interaction Menu while you’re inside the Car Meet and select the Prize Ride Challenge to see the weekly objective.
Now, simply complete the required races before the challenge expires, and you’ll become eligible to claim the GTA Online Prize Ride of the week.
How to claim the Prize Ride
Once you’re eligible to claim the Prize Ride, return to the LS Car Meet and open the Interaction Menu. Select the Prize Ride option and choose the garage where you want it delivered. It’s worth making sure you have suitable garage space before doing this.
More importantly, don’t complete the challenge and then forget about the car. The Prize Ride needs to be claimed before the weekly GTA Online reset. If the rotation changes before you collect it, you can lose the opportunity to claim that week’s vehicle (it sucks, I know).

GTA Online Prize Ride FAQs

Where is the Prize Ride in GTA Online?
The Prize Ride is located inside the LS Car Meet in Cypress Flats, Los Santos. You’ll find the vehicle displayed on the back of a Slamtruck inside the meet.
Do you need an LS Car Meet Membership to win the Prize Ride?
Yes. Prize Ride Challenges are an LS Car Meet membership benefit. Membership costs GTA$50,000 and also unlocks access to additional Car Meet activities and progression.
What time does the GTA Online Prize Ride daily challenge reset?
The daily timer used by consecutive-day Prize Ride Challenges resets at 00:00 UTC. This is separate from the Thursday GTA Online weekly update.
How do I check my Prize Ride Challenge progress?
Visit the LS Car Meet and open the Interaction Menu, then go to the Prize Ride Challenge. The game will display the current objective and your progress towards completing it.
What happens if I don’t claim the Prize Ride?
You should claim the vehicle as soon as you’ve completed the challenge. If the GTA Online weekly rotation changes before you collect it, the previous Prize Ride can no longer be claimed.
Can you sell a GTA Online Prize Ride vehicle?
Yes, but don’t expect to make much money from it. Prize Ride vehicles are obtained for free, so their normal purchase price doesn’t contribute to their resale value. Any return instead comes from eligible modifications you’ve purchased, subject to GTA Online’s vehicle resale restrictions.
