Is Mistfall Hunter crossplay? PC, PS5 and Xbox explained

Yes, you can settle down and rejoice from the start because Mistfall Hunter supports full crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, so you can play with all your friends regardless of their system.
That means PC and console players can enter matchmaking together and form mixed-platform squads. As Mistfall Hunter allows teams of up to three players, you could theoretically have one player on Steam, another on PS5, and a third on Xbox fighting through the Gyldenmist together. Developer Bellring Games confirmed cross-platform matchmaking in its official launch FAQ, while the Xbox store lists both cross-platform multiplayer and cross-platform co-op among the game’s features.
Does Mistfall Hunter have cross-progression?
Mistfall Hunter does not currently support full cross-progression between different platforms.
Although you can play with friends using another system, your characters, equipment, and progression will not automatically transfer if you move from PC to PS5 or Xbox. A member of the development team confirmed that crossplay is available, but player data does not sync between platforms.
You should therefore choose your main platform to play on carefully unless Bellring Games adds wider account syncing in a future update.
Can you play Mistfall Hunter with friends in another region?
This is where things become slightly more complicated.
Crossplay does not necessarily mean cross-region play. Mistfall Hunter uses separate regional servers, with server locations currently deployed in China, the United States, Germany, Singapore, and Brazil. Players also need to be using compatible regional versions of the game to find and join each other.
Accounts registered in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands automatically receive the North American version and can only access North American servers. This means a European player may be unable to join a North American friend even though PC, PS5, and Xbox crossplay is supported.
So, the simple answer is yes: Mistfall Hunter is crossplay across PC, PS5, and Xbox. Just make sure everyone is playing in the same supported region, and remember that your progression will not follow you if you switch platforms.
