One lucky gambler has walked away with a life-changing amount of money after betting $5 on a Californian slots machine.
According to a Thunder Valley Casino Resort press release, the “valued” guest placed $5 on the 5 Dragon Grand penny-slot machine on Monday.
The gambler was then presented with the shock of their life, landing a massive $578,073 prize – something they had no clue about, the casino said.

The guest, who walked away with the six-figure prized cheque, was playing on a machine known for its “vibrant graphics” and is a fan favorite at the hotel, the casino claims.
It is also the third time a player has hit the jackpot on this machine in as many weeks.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this signification jackpot win with one of our valued guests,” said Dawn Clayton, the Thunder Valley Casino Resort General Manager.
“Moments like these are what make the energy on Thunder Valley’s casino floor so special. On behalf of our entire team, congratulations to our guest, we are honored to see our guests experience these life-changing moments!”

After the big win, online casino players flocked to the Facebook post where the big win was announced to congratulate the unnamed winner.

Another joked – and tried their luck – saying: “I donated so they could win! Congratulations!!”
