Every year, the end of April marks an annual Japanese festival called ‘Golden Week’, comprising of a series of national holidays where the country celebrates for variety of good-natured reasons. It means time off from school and work for Japanese people, but for video game lovers all around the world, it usually means a big sale in celebration of Japanese games on various storefronts – including the PlayStation Store.
There are a ton of big discounts on some top-tier Japanese games this year, and we’ve listed some of our highlights of th sale for PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PlayStation 4 (PS4) consoles. Of course, it’s not just Japanese game publishers getting in on the fun – there are plenty of Western games on sale too. In fact, PlayStation has two sales going on at once. (It’s called the ‘Games Under $20 Sale’ in the US, and ‘Hot Deals’ everywhere else. We’ve included some of those highlights here too.
