Pokemon TCG Pocket is already getting a brand new expansion, with Extradimensional Crisis announced to launch on 29 May 2025. Never mind that Celestial Guardians is still fresh, and that the average player won’t have completed their collection just yet. Time waits for nobody! Whether you’re on top of your Pokemon TCG Pocket collection or not, the future is coming.
As announced, Extradimensional Crisis is defined by the arrival of Ultra Beasts – an extra-powerful group of Pokemon who originate in an alternative dimension. Buzzwole, Blacephalon, Guzzlord, Celesteela, Nihilego, Pheromosa, Kartana, Stakataka, Naganadel, and Xurkitree are all joining the roster with this booster pack drop. We’re also getting Tapu Koko ex, the mysterious Type: Null, Supporter Lusamine, Alolan Diglett, Zeraora, Shiinotic, a new full art Rowlet, and more.
“Over 100 new cards” are available to collect, which makes this set a little bit smaller than Celestial Guardians, but still just as snazzy. The full art Blacephalon revealed looks particularly colourful and cool, and the Buzzwole ex is a very fetching sight. The game’s artists have really outdone themselves, with overly dramatic, dynamic art.

As noted, Extradimensional Crisis launches on 29 March 2025 at 11:00 pm PDT, so there’s just a few days left for those keen to complete Celestial Guardians before moving on.
Meanwhile, those deep into the competitive scene of Pokemon TCG Pocket might like to be aware of the new powers flooding the zone, from Buzzwole’s Big Beat, to Pheromosa’s bench-hopping Jump Blues attack. The Ultra Beasts, on the whole, are known for their devastating power, and it seems they’re now set to shake up the fight in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
