Dead by Daylight has marked its 10th anniversary in style, with Behaviour Interactive hosting a fan event in Montreal’s Old Port over the weekend before taking to the stage to reveal the next decade of content for its long-running horror multiplayer.
It had plenty to share on the future of the game, alongside a whopping 10 million blood points to give away.
Behaviour Interactive gives away 10 million bloodpoints in DBD
The thing that has got fans excited at the moment is the 10 million blood points giveaway code for DBD. The code is as follows:
- DBD10BIRTHDAY
If you redeem it, you’ll get 10 million blood points to spend how you like. You may redeem it later if you’d like for a new event, or start power leveling through some of the characters you may want to level up, get new perks, and things like that. Lord knows there’s been many collabs over the year for Dead By Daylight.
Chorus of Sin and Art the Clown are coming later this year
In addition to the rewards, there was also a look at what is coming for the remainder of the year. We know Jason is on the way in the next few days, as the devs already previewed it. It comes ahead of its own game releasing in 2017, which was later shut down due to IP licensing. So, fans will finally be able to play Jason once again in an asymmetrical horror game.
After that, we are getting two new chapters. The first one, releasing in August, features the community collaborated chapter. This is the one fans voted for in that special Grimoire teaser a few months ago. There’s also a Survivor themed chapter named Life Road, launching June 25th. Art the Clown is also coming to DBD, with that releasing in November.
So, there’s a nice mix of Survivor and Killer content on the way as new content releases.
2027 will see modding tools and a new graphics overhaul
The devs also showcased that the game is due a big visual overhaul in 2027. The game has been out a while and hasn’t changed much in visual fidelity in that time. So, a graphical overhaul for the new hardware out since then can do the game a nice bit of modernising, without ruining its charm. Expect revamped killer and survivor graphics, alongside weather conditions, map glow ups, among other things.
We also know a 1v1 mode is coming to the game, and some kind of Zombies-style mode, though details are sparse on what they are. There’s also the promise of modding tools coming to PC at some point, helping players make new maps, modes and more. Though, modding tools won’t release until sometime in 2027 too.
