It’s been reported the Michigan gambling revenue for June has hit a near-record high of $285.5m.

With the 2024 June Michigan gambling revenue figure $214.1m – this means the region can report a massive 40.8% hike from this time last year, with the June 2025 tally coming in at $285.5m

Of that $285.5m, it was also reported the bulk ($240.6m) was made up from digital online casinos.

This figure was also the second-highest monthly tally in the history of Michigan’s regulated market.

However, despite the glowing rise in numbers – the June 2025 Michigan gambling numbers were still short of the record $301.4m they saw in May this year.

While after promotional costs were factored in the June 2025 gross figure came in at $256.5m.

Big Growth For iGaming In Michigan

According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board report, when drilling into the June revenue – this also showed that iGaming made up $240.6m of the gross figure. This was up 31.3% from the same month last year.

However, the adjusted gross revenue stood at $226m and down 4.3% year-on-year.

FanDuel and MotorCity Casino (pictured) topped the market for the state in June – with the pair responsible for $62.3m in gross receipts.

Next came DraftKings and the Bay Mills Indian Community in third, with their split $38.7m/$36.4m

The report also showcased $47.1m in Commercial iGaming tax payments to the state of Michigan. With Detroit banking an extra $11.8m and tribal operators paying $5.8m to the governing bodies.

Michigan Sports Betting Revenue Continues To Increase

When in it came to the online betting sites turnover for June – the gross revenue was $44.6m and up by 44.3%.

But, like the online casino numbers, the adjusted gross revenue was down 14.4% to $30.5m.

Customers staked $302.7m on sports in Michigan in June 2025 – up 9.4%, which resulted in a monthly hold of 14.73% established from the gross revenue.

Again it was MotorCity Casino and FanDuel that topped the sports betting tree – recording $18.5m in gross revenue from a $103.4 handle (17.89% hold).

DraftKings and the Bay Mills Indian Community took the silver place again here with $13.1m from $95m wagered (13.79% hold) – with BetMGM and MGM Grand Detroit taking the bronze with $5.4m from $40.9 staked (13.2%).

This resulted in a sports betting tax payment to Michigan state of $1.8m and Detroit banking $527,932.

Finally, the land-based Michigan casino market for June saw Detroit’s three commercial outlets topping the $100 mark at $101m – but this was still 4.2% adrift from this time last year.

Slot machines and table games accounted for $100.4m in revenue, with the sports betting slice $665,435.

MGM Grand Detroit were the top performing land-based casino in Michigan with a 48% share of the market. MotorCity were next best with 31% and Hollywood Casino on 21%.

In total, the state gaming taxes collected came in at $8.1m and Detroit getting $11.9m.

Retail sports betting tax that the casinos paid was $25,153 and $30,743 to Detroit.
