Want to get some fast travel going in Mortal Shell 2? Here’s what you need to do
While a key part of Souls-like titles is the exploration side of things, if you’re going back and forth between areas, utilizing fast travel will not only give you time back, you’ll also avoid getting attacked 24/7.
Thankfully, Mortal Shell 2 does have a fast travel system, and there are a couple of ways you can utilize it to your advantage.
How to fast travel in Mortal Shell 2
In Mortal Shell 2, you can either do the cool-looking fast travel or the usual press a button and go there fast travel that you’re probably accustomed to.
The former is unlocked essentially right after the prologue, while the latter requires you to do a bit of digging in order to gain access.
Focusing initially on the fun fast travel, you can utilize this after reaching Marrow Keep. If you head to the top via the elevator, clearing the corruption on both sides of the peak, you’ll be able to activate the machine, spotting Beacons you can warp to.
At this point, you can choose which one you want to head to, and you’ll be fired off like a flaming meteor toward it, which is probably the wildest fast travel animation I’ve probably ever seen in a game.
The one caveat to this is that you do need to keep going back to Marrow Keep and do that animation again and again, so there is an even faster fast travel once you progress further, which could help in locating new weapons and Shells.
To be able to use this, you’ll have to siphon four Ova in the Siphon Chamber, again within Marrow Keep, to net the Mether’s Breath item.
Once in your possession, you’ll then have a new Mether’s Breath option available to you at any Beacon on the map, creating a super simple fast travel method between the Beacons that have been previously activated.
No crazy animation for this one, however, so while the quickest, it’s definitely not the option that’ll get you hyped.
