Free Pokémon Friends Game Drops During Pokémon Presents

Today’s Pokémon Presents was full of exciting news for fans of the world’s most popular creature collector, but perhaps the most exciting news was a surprise drop for the free mobile game Pokémon Friends.

Each puzzle involves some of your favorite Pokémon!

What is Pokémon Friends?

Friends, available now on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, iOS, and Android devices, is a puzzle game with over 1,200 puzzles for you to untangle. Once a day, the game involves you completing small educational puzzles to free your favorite Pokémon.

Completing a puzzle in Pokémon Friends rewards yarn, which you can place into the “Plush-o-Matic” to make Pokémon plushies like Pikachu!

Pokémon Friends has dozens of puzzles for you to complete.

Eventually, you’ll be able to decorate your room with these plushies alongside furniture you’ll unlock while playing, creating a cozy space for you and your creatures. If you accidentally place a plushie in the wrong spot, you can use the game’s “rewind” feature to fix the mistake.

The game takes place in Think Town, where townspeople will have additional friend quests for you to complete. These quests provide special rewards and will be worth your while.

Like many free-to-play mobile games, Pokémon Friends has paid DLC. At launch, Friends includes three DLC packs, the Basic Pack, the Puzzle On! Pack #1, and the Puzzle On! Pack #2.

Pokémon Friends’ second puzzle pack comes with its own set of puzzles, yarn, plushies, quests, and wallpapers.

While you can buy each pack individually, the shop offers bundles for a discount. The Puzzle On! Bundle offers both Puzzle On! packs for $25.99, while the Combo Bundle offers all three packs for $33.99.
