Ravensburger has announced the sixth set for Disney Lorcana, Azurite Sea, is set to launch on 15 November 2024. This set is largely pirate-themed, but it will also introduce new characters from Disney classic Big Hero 6 (Baymax, Hiro Hamada, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Go Go Tomago and Fred) as well as Chip and Dale, Gadget Hackwrench, Monterey Jack, and Zipper from Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.

For those following along the tale of Disney Lorcana, Azurite Sea will pick up in the aftermath of Ursula’s grand defeat. In Shimmering Skies, the heroes took a moment to celebrate their achievements. In Azurite Sea, they will continue to rebuild, as the Illumineers “set sail as part of their quest to repair The Great Illuminary,” aka the centre of Lorcana’s realm.

Characters from across the Disney universe will put on their best buccaneering outfits, climb the crow’s nest, and man the cannons as they sail across Lorcana to restore peace and prosperity. As part of this quest, a bunch of clever inventors will take centre-stage – which ties into the inclusion of the Big Hero 6 team. To repair The Great Illuminary, they’ll need all hands on deck.

So far, Ravensburger has revealed some very cool character variants for this set. Chief amongst them is a pirate version of Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet, who leads this set’s Amber/Ruby single-player deck, alongside a pirate version of Tigger. The other single-player deck is an Emerald/Sapphire deck with GoGo Tomago and Gadget of Chip ‘n Dale.

A pirate version of Stitch, who appears alongside Scrump, is also incredibly cute.

As announced, Azurite Sea will be accompanied by a variety of new collectibles and accessories – including new deck boxes and playmats, and a special gift set. The playmats in question feature Elsa – The Fifth Spirit, and Donald Duck – Buccaneer (which would certainly go well with this set). New deck boxes feature Scar – Vengeful Lion, and perhaps the best card in the game, Winnie the Pooh – Hunny Wizard.

For Azurite Sea itself, keen players will be able to grab two new starter decks (AUD $29.99 each), booster packs (AUD $9.99), an Illumineer’s Trove (AUD $99.99), and a special new Stitch-themed gift set (AUD $99.99) which features a Stitch-themed portfolio, four Azurite Sea booster packs, and a Stitch – Alien Buccaneer water foil promo card.

Stay tuned for more on Azurite Sea as we head closer to the set’s worldwide launch on 15 November 2024.
