　昨年開催されたThe Indie Game Awardsでは、Clair Obscur: Expedition 33が驚異の9冠を成し遂げた事で大きな話題を攫った。しかしこの冠はいささか不正確であったようである。The Indie Game Awardsを運営する米Six One Indieは2025年12月22日までのうち、Clair Obscur: Expedition 33に与えた賞を剥奪したのである。<\/p>

　同作は同月18日（現地時間）の表彰式で最優秀賞など2つの賞を贈ったものの、これらは現在別タイトルの受賞となっている。GOTY受賞者はローグライク風味の探索ホラー『Blue Prince』に、Debut Game受賞者はサバイバルホラー作品の『Sorry We’re Closed』へと変更済み<\/a>だ。何故このような事態が発生したのか、昨年末に吹き荒れた嵐を追いかけてみよう。<\/p>

生成AIの利用を禁止するThe Indie Game Awardsの規約<\/h1>

　本件についてThe Indie Game Awards側のアナウンスにどう書いてあるのかを見てみる事にする。当該ページ<\/a>の資格と推薦の為の説明を行う項目に、原文では以下の様な記載が存在する。<\/p>

　つまるところ、Clair Obscur: Expedition 33の過去に使用していたデータの中で生成AIを使用したコンテンツが見つかっており、かつ今回の受賞時に制作側が「生成AIを一切使っていない」という説明を行っていた事が、本件の主な争点となっていたのだ。これについて過去に生成AIを利用している可能性があるテクスチャを使用しているという報告がX上でポストされており、明確にテクスチャの差し替えが行われた事が示されている。<\/p>
