Junior Character Artist - Hell Let Loose

Your Day-To-Day

  • Create vibrant and detailed characters
  • Grow your understanding of form, anatomy, and colour
  • Receive, digest and learn from constructive feedback and mentorship
  • Expand your knowledge of modern tools and techniques for creating optimised and textured game-ready content
  • Collaborate and communicate with other team members to ensure your characters meet the needs of the project
  • Establish a good working practice with the support available to you
  • Playtest the game with the team to see how the characters are being implemented
  • Collaborate and communicate daily

What You’ll Need

  • Good knowledge in Maya, ZBrush, Substance, Marvelous Designer,Photoshop or similar
  • A Flair for character or creature anatomy
  • Ability to build and iterate on given feedback in order to improve your work
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Well organised in your approach to your own work
  • Traditional art skills are a plus, such as life drawing, illustration, sculpting, etc.
  • A portfolio that shows your drive and passion in making characters

The Interview Process

The interview process for the Junior Character Artist role is made up of 3 stages:

  • Briefing call with TA (20 minutes) – A quick call with one of our members of the TA team who will gain an understanding of your current situation, run over the opportunity and answer any initial questions
  • First interview (60 minutes) – A meeting with our Executive Producer and Director of Art. This will be a technical interview to assess your ability, plus providing you an overview of how you will support the HLL project
  • Final Interview (45 minutes) – A final meeting with our Head of Art to assess team fit and understand your future aspirations.
